Director James Cameron proves once again that he is a film maker of epic proportions with his latest picture, Avatar. The sci-fi love story articulates the inhumane nature of the human race as they exploit the indigenous people of an Earth like satellite planet, Pandora. The film kick starts straight into the plot, without any cheesy narration. It is all quite overwhelming at first, but never falls short of realistic brilliance. Both the imagery of the organic life-forms on Pandora, and the human technologies are crafted to as point of pure beauty. This film stands as testament to the extent of which 3D cinema can inspire awe. A must see for all.

Jack of All Trades

The folks at Black Rock Collective, an international network of designers, had the brainwave of putting together this awe inspiring deck of designer playing cards.  A fresh new take on the design of playing card faces, which have remained dull and stagnant in design for as far back as memory spans. The network consists of 36 graphic designers and illustrators from around the globe, and therefore the diverse set of cards showcases the multitude of different styles at Black Rock Collective.

Fast Forward

Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, 2010 marks the opening of Ferrari World, the world's largest indoor theme park. The complex boasts a number of world firsts such as the planet's fastest rollercoaster, sending it's brave passengers at speeds exceeding 200km/h. It also takes the adrenaline rush to new heights by introducing what is rumoured to be called 'The Emotion Coaster', which is a dual release rollercoaster.  It also features another 20+ rides, cutting edge racing simulators, driving schools, museum exhibits of Ferrari history and a vertical drop ride which reaches out of the centre roof of the park.
